FAQ | Orange | Brooklyn, NY.

Frequently Asked Questions.

  • What kinds of firearms do you work on?

We work on a wide range of rifles, pistols, shotguns, and revolvers. That includes everything from reliability issues and worn parts to sight installation, trigger improvement, restoration work, and custom builds. If you are not sure whether your firearm is a good fit for our bench, reach out with the make, model, and the issue you are seeing.

  • Do you handle both repairs and custom upgrades?

Yes. Orange focuses on both corrective gunsmithing and custom work. Some customers come in with a firearm that is malfunctioning, while others want a better trigger, optic setup, rail installation, Cerakote finish, or a build tailored to a specific purpose like home defense, range use, or hunting.

  • Can you help with FFL transfers?

Yes, we handle FFL transfers with the same careful, professional approach we bring to our bench work. If you are having a firearm shipped in, contact us before the transfer so we can go over the process, required information, and what you will need to bring when it arrives.

  • Do you offer firearm training for new and experienced shooters?

We do. Training is available for newer firearm owners who want a solid foundation in safe handling and marksmanship, as well as experienced shooters who want to improve confidence, learn a new platform, or get comfortable with upgrades like optics or trigger changes.

  • Can I test a repair or new setup at your range?

Yes. The range can be part of the process when you want to confirm that a repair, upgrade, optic setup, or new purchase is performing the way it should. It is a practical way to make sure the work translates into real-world function on the line.

  • Do you offer Cerakote services?

Yes. We provide Cerakote as a durable protective finish, not just a cosmetic add-on. Whether you want a clean single-color application or a more custom look, the goal is a finish that holds up to use while giving your firearm a personalized appearance.

  • What are your business hours?

We are available Monday through Thursday from 12:00 AM - 3:00 AM. Friday through Sunday, we are closed.
